    <abstract language="eng">&lt;p style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Some zero valent organoplatinum complexes and its oxidative addition products with 2-mercapto benzimidazole (B2TH) and 2-mercapto benzothiazole (BT2TH) have been synthesized and characterized by various physico-chemical methods such as, micro analytical, conductance measurement, magnetic measurement, UV and visible and infrared spectrophotometric studies. The oxidation state of platinum metal after complexation is confirmed by iodometric titraions. The coordination of ligand to platinum metal is assigned through sulphur.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
