Some 2-(substituted phenylimino)-3-(5-substituted phenyl-1, 3, 4-thiadiazol-2-yl)-1, 3-thiazolidin-4-ones were synthesized in good yields by appropriate synthetic route and characterized on the basis of spectral data and elemental analysis. The compounds were evaluated for anticonvulsant activity. The compounds 4a, 4c, 4e, 4f, 4i and 4j were potent in MES test and were less neurotoxic comparable to standard drug phenytoin.<br />
