Department of Chemistry, College of Commerce Patna (INDIA) 800020 (BIHAR) <p style="text-align: justify;">1-Substituted tetrazoline-5-thiones (LH) interact with their thiol tautomeric form with As (v) forming compounds having formula [AsL<sub>5</sub>] (LH = 1-Substituted tetrazoline -5- thiones). All compounds were monomeric, non-electrolyte having preferential triangular bipyramidal configuration. The four characteristic thiomide bands of the ligand have been used as diagnostic for arsenic - ligand bonding.
