<p style="text-align: justify;">D.C. polarographic method has been developed for the qualitative as well as quantitative analysis of ayurvedic drug. &quot;Amar Sundari Vati&quot; which produced well defined polarographic wave in 0.25 M acetate buffer at pH 4.40 &plusmn; 0.1 with E1/2 values -1.35 v, -1.20v (indicating the presence of Fe and Co respectively) and in 0.1 M HC with E1/2 value -1.10 volt (indicating the presence of Zn) vs S.C.E. The wave height is found to be proportional to the concentration order Fe&gt;Zn&gt;Co. The results were satisfactory and the developed method is simple, rapid and sensitive and can be applied to the micro determination of the trace metals in various Ayurvedic drugs.<br />
