Ansari 2 Department of Microbiology, Saifia College of Science & Education, Bhopal - 462 001 (INDIA) Department of Chemistry, Department of Microbiology, Saifia College of Science & Education, Bhopal - 462 001 (INDIA) <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> In the present investigation an attempt has been made to experimentally test the antimicrobial effect of <em> Salvadora persia</em> against four bacterial species, such as <em>Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus</em> <em>aureus.</em> The effect of ethanolic extract against the pathogens was tested by disc diffusion technique.
