To reduce metal loss during pickling, corrosion inhibitors are used. In the present study, stability, durability and efficiency of the acid extracts of leaves of Emblica officinalis (EOL) and Nyctanthes arbortristis (NAL) as mild steel corrosion inhibitors in acid medium have been studied using weight loss method. Stability of the extracts were evaluated under room temperature and refrigerated condition. Durability study was carried out for different storage periods (1,2,4,6,8 and 12months). Inhibition efficiencies of the plant extracts EOL and NAL have also been compared with that of the commercial inhibitor VpCI 429.
