Nigella sativa L., commonly called as Kalonji is a medicinal plant of high repute. The seed extracts of this plant were tested against two human pathogens, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa for their antibacterial efficacy. The ethanolic extract was found to be highly effective against Staphylococcus aureus and petroleum ether extract against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. |
