Suppressed conductimetric ion chromatography ( IC ) for the simultaneous determination of inorganic anions is described. F-, Cl-, NO2- , Br- , NO3- , HPO42- , SO42- , and I- were determined in basil (ocimum basilicum L) sample. The separation is performed on shim-pack 1C-SA2 250 mmL x4.0 mm ID peak. Column operated at 30 oC within 11.517 min by isocratic elution with 1.8 mM potassium carbonate , 12 mM potassium bicarbonate and 0.05 mM 18-crown 6 (pH 9.24) as elute . The method does not need a special sample treatment and was successfully applied to the analysis of basil (ocimum basilicum L)
