The present studies aims to investigate the impact of various chemicals used in agriculture on the water quality of Moksha Dayani Maa Narmada water at various locations. Water samples were collected from various streams pouring water into the Narmada along with water samples at upstream and down stream of river to assess the impact of agriculture wash off from the crop field. The run off of agriculture field contained various undesirable constituents such as acids, alkalies, ammonia, ammonium salts, nitrite, and nitrate, phosphates, pesticides, insecticides etc. All these constituents pollute the stream of river in which they are discharged either in one way or the other. The procedure used to determination of above undesirable constitutes were perform by titrimetricaly, spectrophotometricaly, TLC and chromatography. The Result Confirmed that these stretch of the Narmada River were contaminated with at might affect on human health as well as the whole of the ecosystem. The present studies focused on especially agricultural wash out because 90% of people in Nimar region depending on farming. So the main causes of pollution of the water of the Narmda River are fertilizing material and insecticides and pesticides.
